A civil engineer and transport planner, he has over twenty years of rich experience in the sector. A seasoned leader and proven manager, he has successfully led several major consultancy assignments.
He began his managerial career as branch manager of a leading Indian consultancy firm and scaled the corporate ranks, ascending to the post of vice president in a span of seven years. Later, he moved on to head the Indian operations of a leading Danish consulting house.
Today he heads a 240 strong team at Wilbur Smith Associates Private Limited, while serving as Regional Vice President - International, Wilbur Smith Associates, Inc.

A civil engineer specializing in infrastructure, his expertise includes design and management of large water supply, sewerage and irrigation projects, design and construction of dams, site development and design of highway drainage.
Satinath Banerjee

A civil engineer with thirty-eight years of professional experience, his expertise includes highway engineering, master planning and environmental impact assessment for infrastructure projects, urban and physical planning, tourism planning, industrial projects and institutional strengthening. He has post graduate qualifications in management from two reputed institutions. He is an associate member of Structural Engineers and also member of Institute of Industrial Managers of United Kingdom. He is fellow of Institution of Engineers and examiner cum project guide for graduate students of the Institution. He has extensive working knowledge about the North Eastern States of India, its business scenario and consultancy experience spanning across twenty-four years. He has worked Bangladesh, Nepal, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands and in England for various industrial and infrastructure project assignments. He was awarded the Best Citizen of India Award in 2002 by Bibliographic Society of India.
Hariharan P

An engineer transport planner, he has coordinated several feasibility studies for development of roads on BOT basis, in various parts of India. His expertise includes traffic projection, estimation of benefits from proposed improvements, toll fixation, economic analysis and financial analysis. He has led multidisciplinary teams in a number of bus terminal projects. He has also successfully led a number of studies to establish feasibility of flyovers. He has developed a detailed economic model for evaluation of road projects. He has been part of major urban transport modeling studies in several cities of India, including Chennai and Mumbai, and Salalah in Sultanate of Oman. He is adept at deploying SATURN, the globally popular software tool for urban traffic modeling and TRANSIT, a state-of-the-art software tool to estimate delays at signalised junctions. While developing the in-house modeling software - TRAPACK - he was involved in network development and public transport assignment routines.
Valsala C Nair

A graduate civil engineer specialised in transportation systems and planning, she has more than eighteen years of experience in the fields of traffic and transportation planning and design, urban and regional transport modeling, land use modeling, mode choice modeling, demand forecasting, route planning and toll studies. She has also handled a number of policy related studies like 'Parking Requirements Study in Chennai Metropolitan Area', which involved formulation of parking policies, strategic options study for short listing roads for improvement and road user satisfaction studies for various state government departments. She has also co-ordinated a number of feasibility and detailed engineering studies for several road and bridge projects like feasibility and detailed design of East Coast Road in Chennai, Hubli Dharward Bypass in Karnataka, Mumbai Urban Infrastrucutre Project in Mumbai etc. She is active on the academic front, guiding M.Tech students and delivering technical speeches to academic institutions. She has published nine research papers at both national and international levels and received the 'Distinguished Women Engineering Award' by Institution of Engineers [IE (I)] Tamil Nadu State Centre, 2001.
Vinoba Sunder Singh

With eighteen years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering including formulation and evaluation of schemes for projects ranging from traffic management to toll highways and urban mass transit systems, his expertise includes traffic and transportation modeling, traffic reviews, economic evaluation, demand forecasting, ridership estimation, diversion modeling and comprehensive transport studies. The impact study on public transport for an interchange near Bristol, UK, transport modeling for Salalah in Oman, traffic management studies for Buraydah and Al Shifa in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia showcase his professional expertise. He has developed software packages for economic evaluation (EASOP- Economic Appraisal of Scheme Options) and comprehensive transport modeling (TRAPPACK - The Transportation Analysis and Planning Package). He is experienced in the use of SATURN/SATCHMO (Simulation and Assignment of Traffic on Urban Road Networks/SATURN Travel Choice Model) suite of programmes and has developed many models to help in toll strategy studies, ridership modeling and evaluation of transport strategies for cities. His skills encompass traffic analysis and traffic engineering design as well. He has also conducted a number of traffic engineering workshops in India.
Vijay Padmanabhan

An engineer urban planner focused on improving city management and service delivery in India's local governments. Over the past eight years, he has executed strategic plans and Enterprise Resource Plans for urban local bodies besides developing projects with private participation. His key achievements include: Structuring City Corporate Plan prototypes under The World Bank assisted Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project - II and participating in a World Bank Mission in Gujarat to design mechanisms to develop city strategic plans; designing and computerizing an accounting and municipal MIS for the Municipal Corporation of Jabalpur; co-authoring the contract document for India's first BOT project in sewerage for the City of Alandur; providing procurement assistance for private sector participation in performance-based service contracts for water and sewerage in Navi Mumbai; and developing a pooled finance framework for ULBs in the Bangalore Metropolitan Area to access capital markets for a water supply and sewerage system. He has worked as a Senior Project Development Specialist with the USAID sponsored Financial Institutions Reform & Expansion (FIRE) Project in India.
Saswati Ghosh Belliappa

An urban and regional planner, she has over a decade's experience in socio-economic planning, resettlement and rehabilitation, community development, slum improvement, micro-credit, housing finance for the urban poor, monitoring and evaluation of community based forest management (Joint Forest Management) with a distinct emphasis on gender issues and women's access to resources. She has worked with funding agencies, NGOs, government organisations and educational institutions. She has been involved in evaluation studies for government programmes and donor initiatives. Her research emphasizes on people-centred planning, focusing on its human, social and economic aspects. She was extensively involved in the Calcutta Plan of Action for Children, the first to be developed with UNICEF, now emulated by several city governments in developing countries the world over.

A graduate civil engineer with a postgraduate qualification in advanced construction management, he has over seven years of experience in highway design, construction, coordination, project management and analysis. He is also proficient in deploying Microstation. He has successfully undertaken several prestigious assignments in India and overseas, including detailed engineering, tender evaluation and construction supervision for the Dubai Fujairah Freeway Project in Dubai.
